On November 6, 2024, Professors Innan (director), Irie (deputy director), and Terai from the Research Center for Integrative Evolutionary Science were invited by Professor Guojie Zhang, director of the newly established Centre for Evolutionary and Organismal Biology at Zhejiang University in China, for an academic exchange. Similar to the Research Center for Integrative Evolutionary Science, the Centre for Evolutionary and Organismal Biology is a unique research facility specializing in evolutionary biology. During the joint symposium, faculty members from both centers presented their research, leading to lively discussions based on the latest findings in the field. We are excited about the future where evolutionary biology makes significant advancements through the contributions of these two research and educational institutions located in East Asia.
